First time using my Wacom tablet. Pen tool, shape tool, and shape builder. Following Jason Secrest tutorial(s). He goes over stuff real slow on how to use your Wacom pen. Provides the drawing and anchor points. Hepful. Same concepts but using more short cuts. Once I started using layers and locking the layers - it got easier.
Sharing with you.
Here is an example of Jason's drawings with anchor tools. Very helpful. This one is on my hit list. I want to do this project but ran out of time. ~Gah!
You can find Jason Secrest on Youtube. Lots of resource drawings.
After finishing with Wacom drawing tutorial above, I doubled back and applied my new drawing skills using the mouse. I admit. Using the drawing tablet is way easier but takes time to learn short cuts as well as Adobe Illustrator. My skill level has doubled after these assignments.
Don't laugh! (((Haha))) I've always wanted to make cartoons. After finishing the precision pen tool assignments, I doubled back to see if I could draw myself using the Wacom drawing tablet. It was skeery and very intimidating, but I sectioned it out "put it in layers." I locked the layers and sometimes hid them. The hair was freaking me out, and I got issues with my nose. Did not want to draw my nose. LOL. I saved it for last. I watched Marina's instructional video over and over until I got the confidence to go with it. I used the pen tool, pencil tool, shapes, strokes, symbols hair/fur brushes until I found what I wanted. I think results could use more shading. ~This assignment was challenging and ... ~Fun! When in doubt, make a layer, lock it, hide it, and keep going! ;)
